Show MARK COOPER JUNE 6, 2001 and I got a fungus growth on my wrist and went to a couple of specialists in Lincoln and they told me I'd have to get out of that business. ERM: It was in between the layers of skin and so they couldn't, there wasn't much of anything- BEC: ERM: MAR: There's not like a cream or something they could put on. Yeah. So I quit there and that's when we decided to go West. So we packed everything we had. And in the meantime I bought a little car. We packed everything in the car and took off. We went to, well, my sister and her husband lived in Payette, Idaho, and I had two cousins living there and we stopped- ERM: also. BEC: ERM: BEC: MAR: And my sister and brother, my sister and brother-in-law lived there Really? Same town. What had taken everybody to Payette? Well, they just loved it out there. One person went and talked about how nice it was and everybody went. I worked in the-it was during the fruit harvest and I worked in a box factory making boxes to pack the fruit in, see. And that was good until, well, let's see, that was in, what was it? August? ERM: MAR: The last of October. August of- 14 |
