Show Dr. Li and Miss Wang could do, the second child - always the weakest - died after three or four days' illness. The oldest one improved, but "Sonny' developed an otitis and had to be taken by Miss Wang and his mother to the Hospital at Tsinan, for by that time it was too dangerous to remain in Tehchow. His sister accompanied the party and was put in the Hospital with him but she never caused any anxiety, her fever promptly subsiding. The children remained in the Hospital until the situation there became too tense and then their father came and took them home, "t'iaoing them home, one in each basket slung on the ends of a pole across his shoulder. Since then they have done well, gaining steadily; Miss Sun superintending their feeding from the Hospital. The evangelists, Mr. Chu and Miss Chao, have worked faithfully throughout the year, making friends with the patients, visiting in their homes after they leave, and following up the Gospel Message given in the wards with meetings and personal talks wherever they are welcomed.
