Show 38 Since coming home during the holidays, this household has been given over to the grip, and I have been literally "at home." I feel like a veritable Rip Van Winkle and now have the same experience before me doubtless many of you have passed through, that of adjusting myself anew to home and town. I was lucky in meeting many old I. C. people in Chicago, but was sorry to learn just as I was leaving of several 'g8ers there whom I did not see. I'm proud of the record 'g8 is making along many lines and here's success to you all and a welcome always at 1143 Pleasant St., when you chance this way. Cordially, LAURA T . WHITMAN. C. :•- As I look back upon the half-year which has elapsed since our graduation, I wonder what I may write that will in any way interest you. When, at our last meeting, it was decided to publish a class letter, I had hoped to be able to tell of great things accomplished- but alas! it must have been but a dream-as the great things are still undone. Since leaving school I have not been engaged in the broadening activities of life, but my place has been within the home circle. Until the first of November I was at my home, near De Witt, but now am doing what I may to make a pleasant home for my broiher and sisters in Chicago. Besides my duties in the home, I have been doing some studying, privately, in preparation for the line of teaching I hope soon to take up. I have also |
