Show COLLEGIATE LIFE <br><br> ALUMNI AND PAST STUDENTS <br> The Alumni editor will gladly receive any information concerning the Alumnae or any of Collegiate's old students, from any one. Students who are in correspondence with such persons will confer a favor by sending any news for this page. <br> Mr. Alt, ‘00, has moved his floral shop from Second South street to Main street. We hope the move will greatly benefit Mr. Alt. <br> Renwick McNiece, ‘03, is teaching in the Salt Lake High School. He also teaches the Sunday school leasson [sic] to a class of Collegiate boys at the Third Presbyterian Church on Sundays. <br> We have been informed of the bereavement of Mrs. H. H. Coil by the death of her youngest child. We extend our sympathy to Mrs. Coil, who was Pansy McLean, ‘06. <br> Elmer McBeth, ‘07, has accepted an important position with Walker Brothers Bank. <br> Albert C. Blohm, 1901, who took his Master's Degree from Columbia University after graduating from Wabash College, is teaching in the Atlanta Institute of Technology, Atlanta, Georgia. <br> Margaret Lee is a Freshman in the Western Colloge [sic], Oxford, Ohio. <br> Johnnie Harrison, who took two years of his high school course during 1909 and 1910 at Collegiate, is said to have moved to Colorado. Many of the old students who know Johnnie, regret that he did not return to C. I. <br> Frank C. Vibrans, ‘10, is a Freshman in Wabash College, Crawfordsville, Ind. <br> Morgan Calvert, a well-known and popular Freshman of 1909-10 has gone to Colorado to school. He was a good student and athlete. We needed him to catch on the baseball team this year. <br> Marguerite W. Whitman, ‘10, is teaching in Pegram, Idaho. <br> Kate Tupper, a Junior last year, will return to Collegiate next March. <br> Word has been received from Montana that a girl by the name of Helen Louise has arrived at the home of Mrs. J. Lloyd, formerly Ethel Lane of the class of 1897. <br> Iva Dell Murphy, ‘10, is teaching in Spring City, Utah. <br><br> Little Willie from the mirror <br> Sucked all the mercury off, <br> Thinking, in his childish error, <br> It would cure his whooping-cough. <br> At the funeral, Willie's mother <br> Smartly said to Mrs. Brown: <br> "‘Twas chilly dy for Willim, <br> When the mercury went down." <br><br> Between the dark and the daylight, When the night is beginning to lower, <br> The fan comes hom [sic] from the ball game, feeling hot and tired and sore. <br><br> Meanwhile, impatient to mount and ride, <br> On the opposite shore walked Paul Revere; <br> And now the magneto he deftly tried, Or examined the chassis and running gear. <br><br> Found Each Other Out. <br> A young man dined with his father lately, and when they next met the fond parent said: "George, you took my overcoat instead of your own, and I regret to say that I found the pockets full of cigarettes and matches." "I discovered my mistake, father," replied the son, "directly I got outside, for I found that the pockets of the coat I had on contained chocolate creams and three pairs of ladies' gloves." <br><br> |
