Show The job of administrating one of the largest intramural programs in the west went to likeable Pete Couch who presented an enriched program to Ute sports enthusiasts. Couch checks final details of the program while staff members John Squires, George Rich, Karl Schleckman, Marvin Hess and Tony Simone look on. Pi Kappa Alpha continued to show its dominance in the intramural sports program by piling up almost twice as many accumulative points as its nearest competitors to capture the 1949-50 intramural championship. First places in touch football, wrestling, ping pong and several second places in other events earned the PiKaps the crown. Beta Theta Pi, Sigma Chi and Sigma Nu placed high in the standings under the campus leaders. Uteville was no different than any other place in the spring as the young man's fancy turns toward baseball or softball. Two Ute softballers get in their warm ups before actual game competition begins. 327 |
