Perhaps, an easy means of explanation would be to catalog them by the letters in the name of our group. The "A" stands for the many abilities which the group encourages each girl to develop. "L" tells of the loyalty to the group, liberty to speak one's own mind, and leisure hours of fun. "P" reveals the purposes upon which we strive to build our life. "H" blossoms forth with happiness which is always present at the Butler mansion. "A" brings to all appreciation for the finer things of life. Starting through the name Phi, I find "P" to recall the parties such as our "Centennial Send Off" and "Heidelberg Inn." "H" brings thoughts of heartfelt admiration shown by each Alpha Phi to the other. Last, the "I" recalls the interest which all Alpha Phis have in their school, friends, and sorority. President 239 |
