Show G> to-morrow morning, the 24th i n s t . , with the Indian Agent of Ouray, Utah, to tbe Ute Camp of Chief "Colorado", on White River, and comply with i n s t r u c t i o n s conveyed by l e t t e r of t h i s date from these H e a d q u a r t e r s . Lieut. Burnett w i l l take an escort of one non-commissioned o f f i c e r , and six p r i v a t e s , mounted, armed and equipped, and provided with an e x t r a horse and equipments(from Troop "B", 9th C a v a l r y ) , ten days r a t i o n s and forage- The Post Quartermaster will f u r n i s h Lieut- Burnett with an escort wagon and a six-mule team for t r a n s p o r t a t i o n . Upon completion of t h e s e d u t i e s L i e u t . Burnett w i l l r e t u r n with h i s escort t o h i s s t a t i o n and report a c t i o n taken- By o r d e r of Col: Hatch: Sgd: H. L. When the Agent has e s t a b l i s h e d the l i n e of the r e s e r v a t i o n , should "Colorado" and his band be off the r e s e r v a t i o n you w i l l direct, him t o move w i t h i n i t s l i m i t s . Should s e t t l e r s have e r e c t e d houses upon the r e s e r v a t i o n , you w i l l at the request of t h e Agent remove them from the r e s e r v a t i o n - your You w i l l r e p o r t a c t i o n on r e t u r n to t h i s post, upon comp l e t i o n of the d u t i e s assigned you.
