" ) On the same page of said article Mr . Nims records : ( "In In ) the beginning of Cataract Canon , ive ( en- en ) countered our first real rapid * * " ( "Here Here ) ( at the head of Cataract Canyon ) ended the ( 'picnic1 picnic1 'picnic' picnic ) part of our trip . " ( ( Complainant's Complainants ) ( Exhibit ExIiibit ) No . 177 , at page 74 of Mr . ( Nims Nims' Nims ) * article ( "Profile Profile ) Negatives Canned . " ) ( "We We ) now pushed out ( from Tickaboo ) and ( owing- owing owing ) to the long stretches of smooth water , with very few rapids we arrived at Lees Ferry , one hundred ( fifty- fifty fifty ) miles below * * " ( ( Complainant's Complainants ) Exhibit No . 177 , at page 259 of Mr . " ) At pages 175-9 of ( Complainant's Complainants ) Exhibit No . 13 ( The Romance of the Colorado River , by Frederick S . ( Dellen- Dellen ) baugh ) appears a very entertaining recital of what is there denominated ( "White's Whites ) Fiction . " The author there refers to ( "yarns" yarns d'yarns" dyarns ) told by Mr . White concerning the inaccessible depths of the canyon , ( White's Whites ) alleged terrifying experiences as he and other members of his party ( "clung clung ) to the raft as it dashed against ( half-concealed halfconcealed ) rocks , or whirled about like a plaything in some eddy , " ( White's Whites ) tales of ( "foaming foaming ) waters , " etc . After reviewing in delightful fashion these wild stories of Mr . White , the author denominates them as ( "nonsense nonsense 99nonsense ) , " and at page 179 of said Exhibit No . 13 adds : ( "They They ) were not yet , even taking their own , or rather his own , calculations , near the Grand Canyon , and the whole one hundred and ( fifty-nine fiftynine ) miles of Glen |
