Show PRINCETON UNIVERSITY PRINCETON, NEW JERSEY Department of Oriental Studies Program in Near Eastern Studies June k$ 1957 Dear Dr. Atiya: It gives me pleasure to inform you that you have been appointed to the Faculty of Princeton University as Visiting Professor of Arabic and Islamic History for the academic year 1957-58, extending from September to June. Your salary will be $9,500.00, paid in ten monthly installments beginning September 30, 1957. In addition you are granted a travel allowance of §2,000.00 toward. the cost of transportation from Egypt and return; one half of this will be available upon your arrival in the United States next September, and the second half in the spring of 1958 when you may need it for your return trip to Egypt.
