Show THE CHURCH REVIEW. <br><br> General Church Notes. <br> BAPTIST NEWS AND NOTES. <br> The rising of the walls in the new Tremont Temple in Boston begins to be suggestive of the beauty and magnificence of the completed structure. <br> There are over twelve hundred Baptist churches in Texas without houses of worship. Many are being built every year, but new churches are also being organized every week. <br> Over $500,000 must be raised for foreign missions before March 31st, if the Missionary Union closes the year without debt. And this, although the appropriations for the year were curtailed to the amount of $100,000. <br> Dr. William Ashmore, formerly fifty years a missionary in China, is again in this country. He is mighty in the Scriptures and has a marvelous knowledge of the Chinese language and customs.
