Show THE CHURCH REVIEW. <br><br> Anti-Christian Amusements in Relation to the Church of Christ. <br> DECLARATION OF SALT LAKE MINISTERS. <br> The undersigned ministers, representing the various Evangelical churches of Salt Lake City, are conscious of an insidious worldly power and influence that are sapping the life and destroying the vitality and usefulness of the church of God in this city, and paralyzing the efforts of the pastors and of the consecrated members found in every church. <br> While Christianity has been a mighty moral power in this city, in turning many from sin to righteousness, and bringing spiritual blessings into thousands of lives; while it has made great progress during the past twelve years, the Evangelical churches increasing from four to 21, and the membership from 600 to over 3,000; while the moral influence going out from these churches is greater than that of all other agencies combined, in restraining wickedness, purifying individual and social life, and |
