Show OHI Ralph Tannenbaum 1-24-83 s3:48 tell you, Leslie, how I characterize it. If you want to be in the battle, you better be there. You Gannot be inthe battle and be absent at the time of the vote, expect me to render a veto a week later. Does that make sense to you? IF there is a meeting to decide an issue. And the group-whatever the group is - makes a decision. They are not going to look kindly on someone who wsn't at the meeting, who tinks he's sitting on the throne over here and renders a veto. How does he render a veto? Because he is the big donor to the welfare fund. He is the supposed king pin by whatever authority . You see , that I would characterize as possibly the difference be-tween these two men. im White was in the middle of the fray. L And he'd be there. RT And he'd be there. And he would be there. And as he lost his point, that was fine. Jim White, for~ample, I attended B'nai Brith convention with him. He was constantly involved with Jewish conventions, Jewish meetings, etc. etc. etc. Joe Rosenblatt wasnore satisfied to be invited to non Jewish meetings as the token Jew, if you will. I'm not sure if thatmakes sense to you becausei'm not too sure I understand it. L That jives with the stories I have heard. Did Jim White ever get involved b Zionist activities with Dr. Zucker? Or was he .. RT I don't think that Jim White was ever - it's hard to describe. Yousee, I can remember, and I think I told you about this. |
