Show Grace Tasake 7-27-84 s2:21 GT Thenlater on, it could have been less. And maybe it turned to a weekly. I can't remember exactly. Then when we left here, we drove the whole family. And we went to Yellowstone. We shipped all our furniture first. And then, all six of us - no, seven of us, in a small car. And we went to Yellowstone, Columbia, becuase he figured once we move out of here, we may not see Yellowstone. So we drove, he took us all and we drove~ and went to Portland and then down to Oakland. We didn't go straight to Oakland. SF When you went to Yellowstone, do you Emember where you stayed. GT Oh, we had a cabin. We rented a cabin. SF Is it exciting. GT Yes. I haven't been there since (laughs). That's the only experience we had going back that way ... When we were growing up, too, every weekend, my Dad used to take us either to Ogden or we'd go visit friends in Ogden. Sometimes we'd stay over night. We'd go to Rushio's weekends and stay over. Orstay the day. Once a year, we'd camp out at Saratoga. So he used to take us. And then we'd got o Parleys Canyon with several friends. For picnics. So we - he used to do quite a few things with us. SF Were there a lot of picnics up in the canyon? GT Well, it was just the same families that we'd just go together. Likes Mrs. Hsahimoto, the Takahsis and the Mishiamos. And just about 4 families. And we'd just go every now and then up the canyon and spend an afternoon-some sunday afternoon. |
