Show Edythe Kaneko 5-14-84 S4:56 L did you flinch inwardly? Did you have a little? EK No-We knew that was the way it ' was going and we associated mostly with these people anyway and I says, as long as they-they find them a good mate that they can live togehter with, and work together the rest of their life, why, that's fine. L So it was kind of natural progression. EK It was quite natural. Because they-you know, when they find somebody that they want, you just can't say no, be-cause they'll go ahead anyway. So you just as well go along with them and make the bestof it. And help them make a life. And this way, I keep saying now, that - I've got two of the best -three, I mgith say - but two are white girls. Two daughter-in-laws. I said, if we had picked wives for these two boys of ours, we couldn't have done any better. And I says, there are two of the best - in fact, we've got three of the best daughter-in-laws anybody could ask for. And these two, they just reat us like their own parents. And they are rea-ly good to us. And I says, we couldn't have done better if we had picked them for them. Sowe get along real well· We're justlike one big family. And soit doesn't matter to us at all. And~en my daughter got marrieed a year or so ago to a white man, too, youknow. He's quite a bit older than she is. But he's a very nice person· Everyone of them just fitinto our family justlike that's where they belong. |
