As always, Morrissey's concert Nov. 14 was a real treat, and I can only say if you missed it, you missed one of folk music's treasures. Blues Society sets first meeting December 5 The Utah Blues Society has been established to further the blues scene in Utah. We support all forms of the blues, both urban electric and country acoustic. One of our objectives is to make members aware of the events going on within the blues scene through a newsletter. We hope to encourage that growth and promote an interest in the blues. The first meeting of the Utah Blues Society will be held Sunday, December 5, 1993, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Afterwards there will be an acoustic blues jam at Woolf's 3965 South State Street. Musicians interested in performing should contact Julie Turner at 328-2418. The first benefit will be held Saturday, January, 22, 1994 at Woolf's.
