At a speci a l conference held in the city of Nauvoo on the 8th of Oc t ober 1844 he was orda ined a Seventy in the 11th (~,uorum of seventies at the organizatlon of said Quorum .. Rachel Eurgess Colemere was the daughter of Wi lliam and Martha Barlow Burgess . He was the son of William and Betty Burgess and she was the daughter of Thomas and Ann Barl ow . Rachel was bor·n March 21 , 1823 , Barton Lancashire England .. They were married November 3 , 1844 i n Mauvoo , Illi nois .
