Dear Ernsts This year we have been fortunate in having as a guest of the University a very distinguished Egyptian scholar, Br. Aziz Atiya, President and Co-founder of the Institute of Coptic Studies in Cairo„ He has been a Visiting Professor in our Department of Hear Eastern Studies. No doubt you are familiar with his scholarly reputation. During the next academic year, Dr. Atiya will be Henry Luce Professor of World Christianity at Columbia. During his residence in New York he will visit Washington and will, of course, wish to see the Dumbarton Oaks collections. He has also expressed the desire to meet you.
