Atiya Center for Intercultural Studies University of Utah Salt Lake City 12, Utah Dear Aziz: It is due only to pressure of events that I have not answered sooner your good letter of April 4. Our Professor of Far Eastern Art, Max Loehr, whom you may remember, has decided to go to Harvard next fall, and I have been doing my utmost to find a replacement who could take over his position by that time. In any case, I was enormously grateful, as always, for your efforts on our behalf. I am delighted to learn that you will be in Washington next week, and I look forward to seeing you at that time. I am due there the morning of May 4th and will immediately try to get in touch with you at the Mayfair. I shall be staying at the Cosmos Club, 2121 Massachusetts Avenue, N.W. Kurt will also be in town, and we can have a very pleasant reunion of the three of us. Meanwhile, I have received from Father Grigorios a nice letter, of which I enclose a copy, together with a copy of my reply. i have also received very courteous replies from the Egyptian Ambassador and from your friend, the Cultural Attache. I have written that ! hope to call on both of them. It is very kind of you to offer to do the same on our behalf, Hope and I spent Easter weekend together and had a fine time. She is coming along very well now, and I am so pleased. Please give my affectionate greetings to Lola and the children. With all best wishes to you and looking forward to seeing you soon, I remain, Yours as ever, George H. Koysyth, Jr. Chairman GHF:SMP Enc-2 Air Mail - Special Delivery |
