At first I warmly thank you for your great kindness and for always remembering us wherever you may be,as well as for your praising words for our Holy Monastery. That proves your great love for it and for us, as well as the nobility of your heart and person that we never forget. We always remember you and, in our prayers, we never miss to pray the Almighty God to grant you health and longevity as well as to all the members of your respectable family. You write me that Dr. G.Forsyth wishes to visit our Monastery in order to examine mosaics and other interesting relics. We shall be very pleased to meet such an eminent personality, and we will welcome him with great love and provide him with a special recommendation to be handed. to our Fathers sj that every facility will be offered to him in the fulfilment of his noble scope in the course of his visit. I regret that I will not be able to be myself present at the Monastery in the course of Dr. Forsyth' s visit, but I may assure him that he will be welcomed there as if I were myself there. Referring to the question regarding the organisation "Service au konde en Reveil'1, in Holland, about which you spoke to me a couple of years ago, I -wish to inform you that I will be very pleased to meet the representative of the above organisation, Dr. H. Stam, in the course of July, if I am in Cairo at the time of his arrival, as I intend to travel to Greece for questions concerning our |
