Show Dear Aziz and Lola, 73'jj IH 11 August 1974 Thank you so much for your kind letter.•.which has been laying on my desk much too long. How happy we are to learn that you are seriously considering coming to MZO this winter! We will welcome you with open arms and a hearty Ahlan wasahlan! By the way, I would like to have you write in Arabic "Farrd filsawir", which is my name translated...Farid, for Fred which is the way they seem to pronounce it and filsawir for 'in the cornier, which is what my name means in Swiss German. I think I may incorporate it on my Yneexst, ltehtet etrr-ihpe atdo JJ ordan is over. The job actually took but two days to complete, It was quite interesting...as are most such assignements. But the best part was meeting Crown Prince Hassan. A wonderfuk person and so dedicated to the education of the children. By the way, I no longer have to look for a man who laughs louder than I,..he takes the cake hands down! We were with him for some 45 minuts and then he rushed out in the hall with papers in his hand dealing with audio-visual advertisements and asked our advice on which were good and yfrwhich not. But I'll tell you all about it when you come to MZO. We did not go to South America this year. A bit too much strain on the pocket-book. Perhaps next? We are, ohowever, planning quite a long journey to Mexico starting 3 Sept. The following is a list of all our stops: Toronto, Montreal, Granby, Quebec, around Gaspe peninsula, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, boat to Maine, Topsham ME, Dartmouth Coll., Nashua N.H., New London N.H. O'leg Grabar at Harvard, Martha's Vineyard, North Marshfield MA., West Simsbury CT., Briarcliff Manor NY., Uenefly N.J., Basking Ridge N.J., Princeton, Yardley, Silver Spring MD., Alexandria, Williamsburg, Norfolk, Orlando Fla., St. Petersburg Fla., Pensacola, New Orleans, Houston, San#( Antonio and finally Mexico. Quite a jaunt, eh? I figure it should take us some 1\ months. Unfortunately the car-ferry no longer runs between Miami and Vera Cruz and we were quite disappointed. But we had the pleasure last year. Oh yes, the pictures of the old bath came out quite all right. Being a perfectionist I, of course, did not like some of them. But under the circumstances I think the results were as good as could be expected. As I told O'leg had we had a monbh to stay there and had I been able to take a whole mess of equipment I could have done better/ But since he is quite satisfied well I must be also. Work at Kelsey goes on and on and on. The collection seems endless...and I am not sorry. It keeps me occupied mornings and I am happy to be able to no only gp on working but to be able to accomplish a needed task. I am sure you feel the same way with your teaching. Mother is quite we'll knd just said she wanted to add a few wo^s, So I'll leave off with my best regards. Most cordially, |
