Show 5. Conclusions A versatile and layout-free remote OC-HDR process was realized that allows slabs produced on a con ti nuous ca tser to be d i ree troll ed a tad i s tan t ho t rolling mill. The remote OC-DHR process improves on the conventional proximate OC-HDR process was mainly made possible by the development and application of a slab edge insulator with luminous wall burners installed before and after the gas cutter, and a gas-fired slab edge heater of the jet flame type.
