Show The techniques have also been applied to correcting the flows to the catalyst beds of SCR de NOx units, gas turbine exhausts, flare systems, unfired waste heat boilers and cyclone dust separators, all with excellent results. As mentioned previously the correlation from the model to full size plant has been checked on numerous instances with excellent repeatability. The system employed has been to carry out site velocity measurements on the full size plant las found ' . The identical checks are then carried out on the model, again in the 'full size as found ' condition and the comparison evaluated. The model is then corrected with the necessary splitters and the final deviations obtained. The model derived splitters are fitted to the full size plant and final site readings obtained. In all instances to date the correlation between full size and model have proved excellent and the improved performance of the original combustion equipment improved significantly after incorporation of the model test recommendations. Applications: Below are two examples of particular installations that have been the subject of a dynamic model testing exercise. Case 1. A Fired Heater fitted with four dual fuel burners located in a common windbox. - 12 - |
