P aintings have been shown in drug store windows, hotel lobbies, feed stores and restaurants. I Mr. Dibble remember an erudite display that lined the walls behind the women's lingerie in a department store. Such ubiquity suggested a plethora of painting or at its best an assist from friends of the arts. The ultimate result of casual exposure, however, is a notion of commonality.
