On Thanksgiving Day, as a re s ult of an informal pRrish meeting the Sunday before, Ma~s was sung at 5 p.m., and followed by a potluck turkey dinner prepared and served by members of the conqregation. A unique feature was the pre s ence of a nom adic eVAngelist and his lovely wife, whom he met in Jerusalem, and their baby boy; she olayed the guit 8r and they s ang for us, and in minutes we were sin oinn with t hem - so c atchinq were their melodies. He comes t G us unknown to us personally, althouqh we had heard a qood de al about his excellent work with the youth at Good Shepherd Mis-sion at Fort Defiance, Arizona, so of course he is familar with much of Navajoland and its PAople. He recently underwent sur g~ ry at the V. A. Hospit al in Albuquer que, NM. He ma de a good recovery and s eems in excellent s hape. We are very qlad to welcome him as a new member of our community. He will tell you more about himself further on in the Mes s age. Bishop Charles has arranged for Father Steven Plummer, of Good Shepherd Mission, to come to us once a month. ~s mo s t of ynu know he is the fir st, and as \jRt th8 only, Navajo priest.
