Tho aridity of the clinatd and the elevation and exposure result in a limited forest growth of juniper, pinon and Gambols oak. Without irrigation the agricultural possibilities are very limited. I4he agricultural lands are so situated with reference to the stroans in each of the canyons that they may bo irrigatedwithout excessive cost. With autuan is September 24 and the last killing frost in the spring is way 20, giving a growing season of approximately four months without fear of damage from frost. Plant growth commences as early as the latter part of ^ arch and with the occurance of warm storms in autumn, which are not unusual, continues as late as November. 4. Silvicultural Types. ( a) These consist of juniper- pinon, woodland and oak browse types. ( b) The amount of fence and cordwood material to be obtained from the existing stand of juniper and pinon is estimated at fifty thousand posts and twenty- five thousand cords of fuel material, ( c) reproduction: While not prolific there appears sufiucient natural reproduction to insure the perpetuation of the present stand unaer a limited cut and proper observance of silvercultural regiments.
