Show Presidential Teaching Scholars Awards In an effort to recognize exceptional teaching at the University of Utah and to provide a tangible reward for continued contributions in this area, President Arthur K. Smith has newly established the Presidential Teaching Scholar Award Program. An initial group of ten scholar teachers has been selected for 1993 to symbol ize the University's commitment to excellence in its teaching mission. Each faculty awardee receives a permanent base salary increase of $5,000, while awardees other than full time faculty members receive a single honorarium payment in the same amount.
