Show Style VR OT WW GR BG Total # of Sites 27 3 1 1 ~ 33 % of Total 81.2 09.1 00.3 00.3 00.3 100.0% Approximately 90.3% of the rock buildings are Vernacular or Other. The rock church is Greek Revival. The WW and BG sites are 20th-Century buildings. In examining the rock buildings we are looking at the majority of Farmington's pioneer-era, short, rock masonry, vernacular sites, characteristics distinctive enough to perhaps merit a Thematic nomination. As mentioned earlier, the majority of Farmington's potentially eligible sites are of brick, not rock or adobe, construction. A nomination of the city's brick buildings, however, would be far more heterogenous than one of its rock buildings. Brick buildings are found in all of the decades from the l880s through 1940s and were built in every style found in town. A nomination including all potentially eligible buildings in the survey area might be similar to districts or multi-purpose areas nomi~ated in urban, residential parts of Logan, Ogden and Salt Lake City. |
