Show Mary B. Price, M.D. When starting this venture several years ago, I could not have anticipated the people it would take to see me through 4 years of medical school. I am humbled by and grateful for the support and encouragement received from my fellow students, instructors, neighbors, and of course friends and family. This will read somewhat like a book dedication, so if you don't like those, stop reading. Number one to thank is my husband Jeff, who for most of the past 4 years worked harder than I did to make this MD thing possible. He has done absolutely everything he could to provide a smooth path. Thanks to my kids, Colton, Braden, and Dylan: for their flexibility and adaptability, and for asking me "what did you learn at Medical School today?" and providing warm bodies to practice percussion, ear, nose, throat, and cardiac exams. Thanks to my nannies, Erica, Emillee, and Michelle for being surrogate Moms and housekeepers. Thanks to Pat, not only world's best mother-in-law and Grammy, but a dear friend. Thanks to my Mom, for being proud of me no matter what. Thanks to "the band" (Jeff, Chuck, Lon, Shar) for musical stress release. Thanks for general encouragement to (in no particular order): Michelle, Tara, Mike, Katie, Shayleen, Barbara, Wally, Clark, Laura, Blake, Merlene, Cory, the Krantzes, Lori, and Kathy. And finally, thanks to the physicians who taught me and continue to teach me how to be a doctor. 86 |
