Show DONALD M. THOMPSON, and Judy .... Affectionately known as "Russ" for his more than platonic feelings for that great Russet state, Idaho, Don was really born in Salt Lake City. But soon he did move to the State of his dreams, Idaho. He graduated from Pocatello High School with a major in girls and a minor in band. He then attended Idaho State University, graduating with a lot of B.S. in Zoology. Don also served time as a missionary in Scotland. He made medical history by being the first successful recipient of a moustache transplant (Dits being the first unsuccessful case reported). He has had his moustache for the last three years without rejection (except by his wife). Don has also distinguished himself as the owner of the oldest known living Austin Healy in existence. He married the former Judy Zitlau of Rigby, Idaho, who holds a B.S. in Dental Hygiene and is a charter member of the society to eliminate the Austin Healy. Don plans a specialty in Pediatrics and to return to, you've guessed it, Idaho. HUGH D. VOORHEES, Carol and Dirk. . . . Hugh, the trackman, is best known by his class for having quietly gone through medical school. He was born in Salt Lake City and attended Olympus High and then left the valley for two years on an LOS mission to England. Hugh returned to obtain a degree in Zoology from the University of Utah. He was active in track through high school and college. While at the "U", he received the Scholar-Athlete award twice and also received the Trackman of the Year award. He couldn't run fast enough from Carol van Rensburg, who came to Salt Lake City from South Africa at the age of twelve. She attended East High and graduated from the _University of Utah in English. She had taught English for two years before the arrival of their son, Dirk. Hugh has spent his Senior year as a member of the Surgery Core Program and plans a residency in General Surgery and settling in the West. 93 |
