Show GREGORY L. GOATES and Joyce .... Never to be forgotten for his "paranoid reaction" to medical school, one could always hear him express his inner belief "that I know they are out to get us." A native of Salt Lake City, he left Zion for Idaho and graduated from Blackfoot High School. A Molecular and Genetic Biology major at the University of Utah, he entered Medical school as a three year man and received his degree in Medical Biology after our Freshman year. After becoming bored with the beginning of his Senior year, he developed in conjunction with Dr. Jung a Pediatric Monitor Module used in the transporting of premature infants. Joyce, Greg's wife, is also a Salt Laker and graduate of the "U" with a B.A. and M.A. in Speech Pathology. Greg, a future Roentgenologist, is planning a rotating internship prior to his Radiology residency. DONALD L. GRANGER and Polly Ann .... Known politely as the "Lone Granger" with the tightest sphincter in the class, Don is a Salt Lake native and graduate of Highland High. He graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelor of Arts in Microbiology and then went on to obtain a Masters in the same field from the University of Rochester. His slightly hyperthyroid condition was best displayed the day he went to get a fingerstick microcrit from a Pediatric clinic patient. In his eagerness to obtain the necessary amount of heme, he inadvertantly stuck the patient's mother, who now could be heard at some distance. Don's wife, Polly Ann is a former Rochester resident who has tak·en to the mountains of Utah and works for the Infectious Disease division. In line with his academic excellence, he is a member of the Medicine Honors pro_gram and a Senior year electee to Alpha Omega Alpha. Don plans an East coast internship and career in Internal Medicine. 75 |
