Description The BBQ Roll/Lampert Maneuver has been shown to be an effective treatment and is supported by a level I classification study. 1. The patient starts in a supine position with the head positioned 30 degrees above the horizon. 2. While maintaining head elevation, the patient's head (or whole body) is rotated 90 degrees towards the affected side. This position is maintained for a minimum of 30 seconds after the nystagmus or sensation of vertigo stops. 3. The head (or body) is rotated back to a supine position. This position is maintained for a minimum of 30 seconds after the nystagmus or sensation of vertigo stops. 4. The head (or body) is rotated 90 degrees towards the unaffected side. This position is maintained for a minimum of 30 seconds after the nystagmus or sensation of vertigo stops. 5. The patient continues to roll into a prone position. This position is maintained for a minimum of 30 seconds after the nystagmus or sensation of vertigo stops. 6. The patient can return to a seated position via continuing to roll to their side or transitioning to a quadruped position to return to sit.
