Year graduated 2015
Date 2015-05
Description While the effects of pollution become Incredibly more evident in the air of the Salt Lake Valley, many Utah high school students still lack the knowledge and information necessary to take preventative and immediate actions to protect their health and their environment. In this study, the reasons for why there is not a formal curriculum in high school chemistry classes are explored and examined. The correlation between students from low-income families and the placement of environmental education as a priority shall be investigated alongside the discussion of the resources available for science teachers to properly integrate environmental education in their classrooms.
