Receiving Ski Archives History- Maker Awards will be: Lacey Heward, Boise, ID; Monte Meier, Nathan Roberts; Stephani Victor, Erik Schlopy, Julia Mancuso, Ted Ligety, all of Park City, UT; Clay Fox, Gillette, WY; and Steve Cook, Salt Lake City, UT. Sharing the Ski Mfair podium will be Edgar Stern, founder of Deer Valley Resort, whose story of achievement on the business side of skiing is as inspiring as those of the athletes. He will receive the prestigious S.J. Quinney Award for his contributions to skiing in the region. Brief backgrounds and accomplishments of the honorees appear on the following pages. The 2006 Ski Mfair will be held on Thursday, November 2, at the Little America Hotel in downtown Salt Lake City. Festivities begin at 6 p.m. Reservations must be made by Wednesday, October 25, 2006. A table of 10 may be reserved for $1,500, a portion of which is tax deductible. Individual seating is $70 and $75 after October 20. Cost includes a silent auction, reception, dinner, awards program and a video presentation showcasing the honorees. Local television newscaster/ reporter Larry Warren will be master of ceremonies.
