New Members Add Diversity Ski Archives Advisory Board The Utah Ski Archives Advisory Board has grown by eleven members. Added to the board, whose primary mission is to nurture the growth of the University of Utah Marriott Library Ski Archives program, are: Sid Uyetake Sid has owned and oper- ated Sid's Sports for the past eight years. He has been actively involved in the inter- mountain division of the National County for the past ten years. Connie is a research analyst for the Utah State Office of Legislative Research and General Counsel, and focuses on natural resource issues. Ron and Julie Steele Ron is the sales manager for Rossignol in Ogden. He is a former US Ski Team member and parti- cipated as a member of the 1972 Olympics ing for former lieutenant governor Val Oveson. The Dennises moved to Salt Lake City from Texas in 1980. Suzy and Bill Rytting Suzy competed in the `48 Olympics, and was an almost competitor in the `52 games. She was the state's most prominent female racer for many years, and was honored by the Ski Archives Program in 1992 as one of the "legends of competition" in Utah skiing. Suzy remains very active today working for charitable organizations such as the Childrens Center and the National Char- ity League. Bill is a retired marketing executive for Wheeler and has worked with Suzy through the years with racing teams. Dan and Connie Steffen Dan has served as the executive director of the Sandy Chamber of Commerce since 1991 and has been a ski instructor for Park City for twenty-one years. From 1974-84 he implemented and directed the Ski Interim Program, a nationally accredited collegi- ate program based in Park City. Dan and wife, Connie, have lived in Summit team.
