Show 12 CHAPTER 4 The. Cave-, "If your quest is one of love and you are willing to sacrifice even your life for it, then the desires of your heart will be fulfilled." He discovered the cave quite by accident. He was on his knees, getting a drink from a small stream, when he spotted it. A wild rose bush covered the entrance and he would never have seen it from another angle. It was just large enough for him to fit comfortably inside. He could sit in a crouched position or lie flat. It was only a stone's throw away from the water. It was exactly what he needed. "I must take time to cook some grain." he thought. "I feel my body growing weak from lack of food." He built a fire in the cave so no traces would be found. It would also heat the rock walls and give him warmth through the cold night. After eating, he grew sleepy. His long trek the n^ht before had sapped his strength. The warm cave beckoned. After looking about to be sure he had left no signs, he crawled into its snug security and fell asleep. |
