Show IN A CRYSTAL FIRE ABODE The swirling snow in fury hurls itself On latticed windowpanes, a raging roar Which leaves its alms behind-a frigid shelf Of drifted crystals close against our door, Marauding frost and chilling sleet are strong And arctic air blows wild in algid breath. The sky is filled with wind which howls a song Of frozen nights, a wind that shrieks of death, I listen to the house, a restless creak, Outside, the boughs on boughs, branch-melody. You hold me tight, your lips against my cheek, Creating endless crystal fire in me, I live within the circle of your arm, Sequestered by your care, kept safe from harm, |
