Show VACUITY RITE An endless night dwells quiet in these rooms Where once my voice repeated love. A maze Of blackness buries warmth and life in tombs Imbued with solitude and empty days. Once lilacs left a delicate embrace Of silken fragrance on the evening air Which swept through curtains made of lavish lace And once my loving hands passed over fair Possessions, new and cherished, held secure Within the house. A silver trace of dirt Sifts over broken dreams. And I endure The loneliness, the pangs of heavy hurt, You went away and took my soul. Regret Is left-a shell-a silent silhouette. |
