| Description |
It would be very well if each generation could enjoy the advance that has been made and is being made continually in house building. But the endurance of a house is much greater than that of a life and, in most instances, to change each and every house or even a comparatively small number to conform to the latest inventions of sanitation and comfort is almost impossible. This is due not simply to lack of funds of the owners; the inherent structure of the house might render it impossible. Such is the case with a large percentage of the present homes that do not have the modern conveniences, I shall now attempt to show the conditions of some parts of Salt Lake City as they exist at the present time. |
