I could tell Colby was excited for tomorrow and, truth be told, so was I. Best of all, I had finally come to my senses about Paris. I'd determined for sure to take Mr. Morris' check back on Monday. If I won the scholarship, I'd go. Otherwise, I'd stop dreaming about something that wouldn't happen. "What time are we planning to open tomorrow?" I asked. Colby answered, "Nine." "How long will it take to drive to Parker Produce and back?" "Ninety minutes, plus loading up." Since Colby couldn't drive the highway, we would have to take the fence road until we could cut across to Mary Mabel's place.
