Show • Hewlett-Packard Thermoconductivity Chromatograph (H7, N9, Ar, CO, C07 , C, to C5, and 02) L L L ' • RAC Model 2414 Staksamplr (EPA Method 5 for flue gas particulate loading) • Anderson 2000 High Temperature Casade Impactor (particle size distribution) • Bacharach Smoke Meter • Teledyne Portable Flue Gas Analyzer (02 and combustibles) • Hycal Radiometer (flame radiation) • Molectron Pyroelectric Radiometer (flame radiation). In addition to the equipment described above, the IGT Analytical Laboratories have staff and equipment available to determine the following: • Fuel Analysis Proximate analysis Ultimate analysis Trace metals Anions (CI, F, Br, etc.) Organics (PCB, etc.) Heating value • Flue Emissions and Residuals CI, F, Br, S03, SOa, and NOo POM's and PCB's Trace metals Organics. Currently, 9000 square feet of space is devoted to our analytical laboratories, housing the following equipment: • GC-MS System (DuPont Model 49IBR), consisting of a double-focusing sector instrument capable of high-sensitivity identification of the organic component effluents of the gas chromatograph up to a mass range of 1200 amu. A data acquisition system based on a dedicated computer (DuPont Model 094B) handles rapid processing and comparison of the run data with a reference spectra library. • Mass spectrometer (DuPont Model 104), a highly stable and accurate single-focusing instrument for the quantitative analysis of gaseous and light liquid hydrocarbons. • A 3-meter (Baird-Atomic) emission spectrograph having a multi-mode spectrosource and accessories for multi-element determinations. • Two double-beam atomic absorption instruments (PE Models 305B and 603), having the latest microsampling attachments and non-flame accessories for microanalysis of trace elements. 6 I N S T I T U T E OF G A S T E C H N O L O GY |
