Transcript the way at McPherson's Ranch and partaking of some fine peaches which they offered us. Travel 15 miles this afternoon and camp at the Boxed Rapid in Grey Canyon. October 9. Start early this morning and run into Green River station [Green River, Utah]. Every one in the party handled his own boat in all the rapids with marked signs of improvement in the art of navigating rapids. We find at this point according to Dellenbaugh and Powell we have made a record trip. October 10. Lay over at Green River today. October 11. Lay off at Green River and prepare for the trip on down the river. October 12. Pull out this morning at about 9 o'clock and run
