Show THE CHURCH REVIEW. <br> 3 <br><br> work has much the same application. A superintendent may have integrity and zeal but this will not make up for lack of ability. A successful superintendent does not select a teacher for the infant class, simply because of their willingness to take it or because he or she is a fine elocutionist or even a fine Bible student; but because the teacher likes children and can command their attention and because of the ability to adapt the teaching to the capacity of the children. A teacher should not be selected for a boys' class, simply because this teacher had been successful with girls. The talent required to teach boys is different from that required to teach girls or the infant class or an adult class. Those who can teach any or all of these classes, are rare, but fortunate indeed. Ability in the superintendent is farther shown by his knowledge and familiarity with all the affairs of the school.
