Image of four Patch quilt created in 1920s by Martha Elizabeth Evans Paxmean. Also includes questionnaires describing the quilt completed by Kathy Barnes as part of the Utah Quilt Guild's documentation days held from 1988-1994. This quilt was given to Martha's great granddaughter on her wedding day in 1959. Martha lost her husband as the result of an injury he received while hanging the large East doors of the Manta Utah Temple. She raised her children alone. The great granddaughter who now owns the quilt is the daughter of Gorden B. Hinckley |
