Image of Tereas Phillips quilt created in 1925 by Elizabeth Jane Pate Fuller Gray. Also includes questionnaires describing the quilt completed by Tereas Phillips as part of the Utah Quilt Guild's documentation days held from 1988-1994. This quilt was sent as individual blocks to her grandson Perry Fenster maker sometime. Around 1936 Because there were only 47 blocks, it remained as blocks until 1971. One more block was constructed and the blocks were set together with sheet sashing. The binding of this quilt is material originally purchased by Jessie Fenster maker for a baby dress for her granddaughter, Teresa. This is really a four generation quilt. 2 grandmothers & 2 grandchildren. |
