Image of Log Cabin quilt created in 1850 by Elizabeth Blanks Pengelly Betenson. Also includes questionnaires describing the quilt completed by Lu Fischer as part of the Utah Quilt Guild's documentation days held from 1988-1994. Unknow why quilt was made. Elizabeth was an excellant seamstress and was know throughout her life for her beautiful handwork. She was taught to sew by her mother, Elizabeth Budge Pengelly. Baptized in to LDS church in 1851. |
