Image of Pinwheel Camp quilt created in 1933 by Sorena Anna Peterson Malmgren. Also includes questionnaires describing the quilt completed by Velma Malmgren Nielsen Mackintosh as part of the Utah Quilt Guild's documentation days held from 1988-1994. Sorena began to make quilts in 1836, she quilted for church, pleasure, fund raising, to give as gifts, and out of necessity; this quilt was made from good pieces of her husband's, son's suits, hers and her daughters wool dresses; present owner, Velma Mackintosh inherited the quilt in 1953 |
