Show DAVE TATSUNO #1 the thought to a committee of twelve persons when I became chairman of the youth work committee. ST: Yeah. DT: And I ended up by flying a quarter of a million miles all over the world. ST: Yes. DT: To Geneva, Switzerland, to Tokyo, to Canada, all over the world. I said, "God works in mysterious ways--his wonders to perform." ST: Yes. DT: And then I did a lot of speaking for the YMCA and to dinners, and I said, "You cannot pour the perfume of happiness on others without spilling some of it on yourself." ST: Ah, that's very nice-- DT: Strange but on the silver anniversary at the YMCA, I told my wife, "Well, for our anniversary dinner, I am going to treat you for dinner in San Francisco." That night I was speaking at the annual dinner for San Francisco YMCA so for people for dinner and we thought it was a secret but evidently the YMCA secretary in Honolulu, Ernie Uno, tipped off the "Y" secretary Sherwood Snow in San Francisco saying that it's the twenty-fifth anniversary of the Tatsuno's and so they came out with a cake with a candle lit 21 |
