Show ETHEL NIELSON ETH: BEC: ETH: BEC: ETH: BEC: ETH: BEC: Yes. Oh, a group photo. Yes. Now, which do you think I am? I'm on the first row. Oh, my gosh. Here? That's me. Well, I was close. You was very close (laughs). Some of these ladies are quite a bit older. T 1 200 ETH: Yes, they were. I think they worked right where the Bishop's Storehouse is now. That's the building right on the comer, as you go around the comer. They made parachutes, too. They did the backpacks. BEC: I see. Okay, let's get started with your story. Tell me when and where you were born. ETH: In Ephraim, Utah, Sanpete County. It's the first town going north from here, where Snow College is located. BEC: Yeah, I came through there. What was the date of your birth? ETH: AprillO, 1921. BEC: What was your father doing for employment in Ephraim at the time you were born? ETH: He was a farmer. BEC: Did he own property there? ETH: No, well, he did some, but not much. He mostly farmed for others, including my grandpa, John Paulsen. 3 |
