Show feel ashamed to admit our deficiency. There are no great achievements to report, and we can only say what our daily activities are. Every morning at eight we lead prayers for the patients, reading the Bible, praying and worshiping" God. For those who cannot rise we go into the wards and at the bedside teach them to learn to recognize characters and to read our little booklets and cards, the Ten Commandments, the Lord's Prayer, and special passages from the Bible, and tell them stories of mercy and love and similar virtues in the hope that the spirit of Christ may leave its impression in their minds. We write letters for those who cannot write. Moreover our superintendent has bought many different kinds of books and newspapers, both literary and simple, to suit the educational advancements of the different patients, so that they by ear and eye may gradually come to turn to the Truth. When patients leave the hospital we give them books and sheets showing the Teachings, |
