Show NURSES. The presence of Miss Myra L. Sawyer, trained nurse, for nearly two years a part of our force, makes possible the beginning of a training school for nurses in the new hospitals. This will mean a tremendous leverage, first in the hospitals, and then, we trust, in the homes. We now have four "half baked" nurses, and their usefulness is an earnest of the day when we will do far better. Thirty six dollars, three dollars a month, pays the stipend of a nurse in training for one year. GRATITUDE. Our patients are as grateful as ourselves for the faithfulness of the First and Edward Churches of Northampton, Mass., and Plymouth Church, Denver, Col., in their splendid support of much of the work and the workers. Not a few others, friends new and old, are also demonstrating their knowledge of how to invest their influence. INFANT MORTALITY.
